Meta-analyses of mathematics fact-fluency interventions find that targeted interventions can improve fluency, though the best components depend on the learner and skill.[2][3]
Fluency sits beside reasoning
England’s mathematics curriculum explicitly pairs fluency with mathematical reasoning and problem solving. Toku strengthens this fluency layer so children can bring more secure foundations into the rest of their maths learning.[5]
